Floating Support Workers to work with older people (55+ Years)

Floating Support Workers (Older People) (FSWOP.R1.01)

We invite applications for the following:

FLOATING SUPPORT WORKER, OLDER PEOPLE (Ref:  FSWOP/R1/01)

37.5 hours per week, flexibly required

3 Posts: 1 based in Limavady, 1 based in Strabane, 1 based in Derry/Londonderry with travel expected within the Western Health and Social Care Trust area for all posts

Salary:  £19,867 per annum

To implement a floating support service to homeless families and singles over 55 years old who are, or who have been experiencing housing difficulties and related issues.

Minimum Criteria (a Full Job Description and Personnel Specification is available with an application pack)

  • Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language.
  • NVQ Level III (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care OR relevant equivalent qualification in Social Work, Community Work or Housing Care
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience providing support to families and singles, in particular those with substance misuse issues, mental health issues and those at risk of offending behaviour.  Experience working with 55+ years is desirable but not essential
  • A valid driving licence and access to a car.  (if disability prohibits driving, the applicant must be able to organise suitable alternative arrangements)
  • IT skills

ACCOMMODATION SUPPORT WORKER (Ref:  ASWFS/R15/01)

37.5 hours per week (Rota Shift Work)

Based in Francis Street Accommodation Project, Derry/Londonderry

Salary:  £17,660 per annum

 

To work within a team setting providing support service to vulnerable service users.

 

Minimum Criteria (a Full Job Description and Personnel Specification is available with an application pack)

 

  • Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language.
  • A relevant recognised qualification in health and social care or related field (Minimum NVQ level II or equivalent)
  • At least two years recent experience of working in an accommodation or community work setting with vulnerable 16-21 year olds.
  • IT skills
