ACCOMMODATION SUPPORT WORKER, JEFFERSON COURT, DERRY/LONDONDERRY (Ref: ASWJC/R17/01)

£25,930 per annum; 37.5 hours per week (Shift basis, including nights and weekends)

Based at Magazine Street, Derry/Londonderry

You will work for a leading voluntary sector, non-profit making organisation that provides professional advice on housing in Northern Ireland and solutions for people who find themselves in housing difficulties. Our Jefferson Court Young Persons’ Accommodation Project provides supported accommodation to young people aged 16-21 years.

Your New Role within Jefferson Court
You will work within a residential setting, providing support to young people aged 16-21 years who are, or who have been experiencing housing difficulties and related issues.

Minimum Criteria (a Full Job Description and Personnel Specification is available with an information pack)

• Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language.
• A relevant recognised qualification in health and social care or related field (Minimum NVQ level II or equivalent)
• At least two years’ work experience with vulnerable young people in accommodation or community work setting
• IT skills

It should be noted that the criteria for this post may be enhanced to facilitate short listing.
